Our Ethos
At SENARP Vibe Independent School (SVIS), we believe that every pupil should be supported to achieve their best possible outcomes. Our approach is centred on the development of our pupils, ensuring that academic learning, personal development and emotional wellbeing are given equal importance.
SVIS provides a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment in which pupils feel valued, listened to and supported to succeed. We work closely with families, professionals and the wider community to ensure that pupils are prepared not only for the next stage of education, but for life beyond school.
The following focus areas underpin daily practice at SVIS and directly support pupils’ wellbeing, engagement and progress:
- Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education, safeguarding and Preparation for Adulthood, with a strong emphasis on equality, diversity, relationships and personal safety
- Mental health and emotional wellbeing, including pupil voice, emotional literacy and self-regulation strategies such as Zones of Regulation
- Outdoor and experiential learning, promoting physical development, resilience and positive behaviour for learning
- Creative and expressive learning opportunities, including music, drama, art and movement, supporting communication, confidence and self-expression
Preparation for Adulthood is embedded across school life, supporting pupils to develop independence, communication skills and an understanding of their role within the community. Opportunities beyond the classroom allow pupils to explore their interests, talents and aspirations in a supportive and structured way.
